Obituary of Kathleen Andreasen

Kathleen Macnamara Andreasen passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on Monday, March 23, 2026 after a brief illness.

Kathi was born in 1951 and was raised in Denville, NJ. She attended school there and graduated from Morris Knolls High School in 1969. After graduation, Kathi worked as a secretary for THC company. In 1974 she began work as a stenographer/office assistant at Exxon Research & Engineering Company in Florham Park, NJ and remained with the company subsequent to a merger after which it became known as ExxonMobil Research & Engineering of Clinton, NJ until her retirement in 2011.

Kathi is survived by her husband, Alan Andreasen of Denville, NJ, and by her sister, Sharon Macnamara LaMonte of Saylorsburg, PA and brother-in-law Jerry, an aunt, Dolores Kleeberg, of Coral Springs, FL, devoted nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, spirited cousins and many close friends.

Kathi was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Macnamara.

 

Hours of memorial gathering for Kathi and Alan will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, from 1 to 2 PM, with a funeral service to begin at 2 PM, all held at Norman Dean Home for Service, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ. Please join us to celebrate their lives and continue their memory!
