Just returned home from Rob‘s funeral and celebration of his life and it was beautiful. God bless you to Kelly, Alex and the Laufenberg family.
I have known Rob all of my life. Rob, Jay, Mark and Wally were the brothers I never had, and I am grateful and proud to know them and call them my friends. Mrs. Lauf raised four strong men, she did it with pride and love and of course with tough discipline.
I have so many great memories of Rob, Jay, and the whole family. Rob, I will never forget you. You’re easily one of the best friends I’ve ever had. I always enjoyed your phone calls and talking boats and engines with you. I love you, my friend. I won’t say goodbye; just so long. Please say hi to my dad and Kristine up there, and take God fishing.

Kelly , I'm sorry for your loss . Rob and I roomed together when we both fished the TBF trail . The following story from the Federation 2009 Candlewood Lake tournament was one of our best moments . I knew that I had enough weight to win the event,. or so I thought. I went and found Rob and told him where I had been fishing near the ramp. He told me he only had four fish. I took him over to the same area and he caught the fish that won him the tournament. Rob was first, I took second and Dave Frost took third. What a day for the Limiter fishing Team. We will never forget that day. My condolences to you and his family. I will always remember the white noise and his fan . Doug Peabody

My sincerest condolences to Kelly and the Laufenberg family on the loss of Robert he was a strong and determined man to carry on and enjoy his life amidst the health challenges he endured always cheerful and a great to be around. We had many a good nights in remembering old times and those of new around the family dining table at one Thanksgiving . As a cousin and as young boys we enjoyed fishing when the family was in Florida a hobby and passion he carried with him. He brought joy effortlessly. And that joy stays with us — in every memory, every smile, and every laugh you left behind. You will be missed cos.
