Borough Administrator Joe Favaro was an admirable man whose distinguished career and steadfast dedication played an essential role in shaping Englewood Cliffs into the renowned community it is today, often referred to as the Trillion Dollar Mile of North Jersey. His hard work, in collaboration with Mayor Joseph Parisi Sr. and Borough Attorney E. Carter Corriston, was instrumental in the borough’s growth and reputation that was noticed throughout New Jersey.
The residents of Englewood Cliffs, along with every Borough employee, who are fortunate enough to have worked there at the time, owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Mr. Favaro. His commitment as Borough Administrator has contributed greatly to the exceptional quality of life enjoyed by those whose careers he helped nurture.
A Final Thank you - May you rest in peace.

I will never forget Joe, who took a chance on me, a stay at home mom in PTA and later Board of education. I told him I am not sure I can commit to this full time job as deputy clerk/ assistant administrator. He said try for two weeks if you like it and we like you the job is yours. That took the pressure off and I thought I’ll go for two weeks and see how it goes. It was great! I loved the job from day one and truly enjoyed laughing with Joe everyday at work, an excellent mentor who achieved without pressure, which in turn gave me a career I never anticipated, but always appreciated. God bless Joe, may he be always remembered and honored in God’s kingdom.
