Obituary of Gail Nystrom
Gail Nystrom, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 80.
Gail was a woman who cherished the simple pleasures of life, finding her greatest joy in time spent with her family. Her family was truly her pride and joy, and she especially adored her grandsons, never missing an opportunity to connect with them, share a laugh, or create lasting memories.
Gail had a remarkable eye for beauty and detail. She was a fantastic decorator who took great pride in keeping her home thoughtfully and tastefully arranged, a reflection of her creativity and care. Her refined sense of style extended to her fashion as well, where her elegance and confidence were always evident.
In addition to her talents at home, Gail was a gifted artist. With just a brush and oil paints, she created beautiful landscape paintings that captured both serenity and emotion. Her artwork was another expression of the creativity and warmth that defined her life.
Gail will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her fierce independence, and the quiet grace with which she lived. She leaves behind a legacy of love, beauty, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.Gail is survived by her daughters, Jennifer L’Estrange, Wendy Nystrom (Michael Lloyd II), her grandsons, William and Nicholas L’Estrange, as well as many friends who will remember her fondly. We take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with those who passed before her; her beloved husband, J. Scott Nystrom.
