Obituary of Linda S. Langan
Linda Langan passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025. She was born on March 29, 1955, in Passaic, New Jersey, to George and Agnes Sikora.
Linda was raised in Garfield, New Jersey, where she attended school and graduated with the Class of 1972. During her youth, she was a parishioner at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Passaic, New Jersey, which played an important role in her early life.
After graduating, Linda pursued a bachelor’s degree, laying the foundation for a successful and meaningful career in insurance. She worked as a Master Claims and Catastrophe Claims Adjuster for NJM Insurance, where she was known for her dedication, integrity, and tireless advocacy. Linda fought passionately for patients to receive the care they deserved, leaving a lasting impact on those she helped throughout her career.
Linda was deeply committed to her community. She was an active member of the Cedar Grove Elks Lodge, where she played a central role in organizing fundraisers and proudly ran the lodge’s Kentucky Derby parties. Her constant volunteer work through the Elks reflected her generosity and unwavering commitment to making her community a better place.
An animal lover at heart, Linda had a special fondness for cats. She cherished her childhood tabby, Jack, and later adored her beloved cat, Danny, who held a very special place in her heart.
Linda also knew how to enjoy life. She loved traveling with friends, especially taking trips to casinos. Wind Creek was her favorite destination, and she also enjoyed visiting Atlantic City whenever she could. These trips were filled with laughter, friendship, and memories she treasured.
Linda will be remembered for her compassion, dedication, generosity, and love for both people and animals. She is now survived by her beloved sister, Susann Foerster, and many cousins, extended family members, and friends.
If you would like to continue Linda’s memory in your own way, please consider making a charitable contribution to the National Elks Foundation, a reflection of her own dedication to the Cedar Grove Elks Lodge. Donations can be made via this link.
Though no services are scheduled at this time, please leave a condolence, share a memory, or light a candle to continue to let Linda’s light shine!
