Obituary of Catherine Lynn Yenesel
Catherine Lynn Yenesel, a devoted wife, cherished family member, and radiant presence to all who knew her, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 58. Catherine was born on January 12, 1967, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, to Donald and Barbara Fisher. Her early childhood was spent in Boston, where her bright spirit and curiosity for the world around her first began to shine. At the age of five, her family moved to Jefferson, New Jersey, the community that would shape many of her happiest memories.
During her time at Jefferson High School, Catherine became captain of the cheerleading squad, a role that reflected her enthusiasm, leadership, and uplifting energy—qualities that stayed with her throughout her life. She graduated in 1986 and continued her education at the County College of Morris, where she studied Occupational Therapy, driven by her natural compassion and desire to help others.
Catherine went on to spend many years with Champion Mortgage Company, where her dedication, professionalism, and warm rapport with clients earned her the distinguished title of #1 Loan Officer. Her success there was a testament to her strong work ethic and genuine care for the people she served.
In 2011, Catherine married the love of her life, Jon Yenesel. Together they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Among their happiest memories were the adventures they shared—especially their many trips to Aruba, where they were married on the beach. Summer vacations with close family to Long Beach Island and fond memories at the Logan Inn in New Hope, PA. Catherine cherishes every adventure for the experience no matter how small or big she delighted being in the moment, collecting treasures along the way that reflected her sense of wonder and appreciation for life’s beauty. Catherine was Jon’s greatest cheerleader and steadfast supporter in all things. She brought this same encouragement and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her. A talented and passionate cook, she filled her home with the comfort of delicious meals and the love that infused them.
Known for her polite nature, positivity, and gentle spirit, Catherine was a truly uplifting presence. She never complained, never spoke ill of others, and embraced life with grace and authenticity. She marched to the beat of her own drum, unaffected by the judgments or opinions of others, and she inspired those around her to do the same.
Catherine’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, joy, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind; her beloved husband, Jon Yenesel, her closest family members, her sister-in-law Carolyn Yenesel, her brother-in-law Joseph Yenesel, her nephews James and Andrew Yenesel, her brother-in-law Chris Yenesel, her sister-in-law Fatina Yenesel, and her loving cat, Bella.
