Obituary of Lisa Schneier

Please share a memory of Lisa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lisa B. Schneier, 53, of Boonton, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ.

Born in Englewood, NJ, Lisa was the beloved daughter of Russell C. Baccaglini and Alene (Spence) Baccaglini. She grew up in Morris Plains, later residing in Lake Hiawatha before settling in Boonton in 1998 with her husband, Scott.

Lisa earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and dedicated her career to teaching, spending many years inspiring young minds at Franklin Township Public School.

A woman of many talents, Lisa was deeply musical, gifted at the piano, and loved to sing. She enjoyed baking—especially her beautifully crafted cakes—and expressed her creativity through arts and crafts. Lisa was known for her thoughtfulness, always putting care and love into everything she did, particularly when giving gifts.

Family was at the center of Lisa’s life. She cherished spending time with her nieces and nephews, found joy in caring for her Shih Tzus, and devoted herself to caregiving for her parents. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she so freely gave.

Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Scott Schneier of Boonton; her loving mother, Arlene Baccaglini of Morris Plains; and her siblings, Russell and Jola Baccaglini of Denville, Mark and Julie Baccaglini of Morristown, and Paul and Tara Baccaglini of Montville. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews: Anna and James Huryk, Emily Baccaglini, Paul Baccaglini, Abigail Baccaglini, Zachary Baccaglini, Max Baccaglini, and Holly Baccaglini, and her sister in-law Robin Pennington and her husband Charlie.

Lisa’s life was also enriched by the love of her close friends: Dan and Emily Kahn and their children, Lilly and Max; and Larry Kahn and Kristin Larsen and their children, Jason, Zachary, and Nicholas, and Scott and Kim Kradle and their children Mara and Ava.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834. For more information, please visit www.normandean.com
