Obituary of Scott Douglas Lindsay

Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Douglas Lindsay, who left us on September 4, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born in Orange, NJ, to Hunter and Barbara (Yuengling) Lindsay, Scott grew up in Denville and later lived in Oak Ridge and Stanhope, NJ.

Scott earned his Associate’s degree from the County College of Morris and went on to build a long and dedicated career with UPS. Over the course of 38 years, he drove routes beginning in Parsippany and concluded his service upon retiring in 2015 from the Lakewood, NJ location.

Beyond his professional life, Scott was a man of many passions. He loved music, attending countless concerts throughout his life—carefully saving every ticket as a cherished keepsake. He enjoyed following current events, watching crime dramas, and spending time with the family dogs, Sami. Above all, Scott’s greatest joy was found in his family, especially in the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren.

Scott is survived by his loving children: Jeffrey and his wife Maria Lindsay of Oak Ridge, NJ; Mark and his wife Jennifer Lindsay of Palmyra, PA; and Kristin and her husband Chaz Loblein of Waretown, NJ. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Mikaela, Colin, Nolan, Leo, and Mason. He is also survived by his brother Hunter “Skip” and wife Lynne, his sister Leslie McConnell and partner Dave, and his devoted dog, Sami.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a funeral service following at 6:30PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834. For additional details, please visit www.normandean.com.
