Obituary of Regina V. Danch

Please share a memory of Regina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Regina V. Danch, 102, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Born on May 7, 1923, in Barracksville, West Virginia, to the late Mike and Mary Toth, Regina’s life was defined by a strong work ethic and a deep sense of purpose. As a young woman, she left high school just shy of graduation to support the United States’ efforts during World War II. A true “Rosie the Riveter,” Regina contributed to the war effort by working on aircrafts — including one that would later carry a U.S. president — a testament to both the significance of her work and the pride she took in doing her part.

In 1940, Regina and her beloved husband, Alexander Danch, Jr., relocated to Trenton, New Jersey, where she began what would become a long and distinguished career with the A&P Supermarket. Over more than 35 years, she rose through the ranks to become a Senior Cashier Trainer, a role that reflected her leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.

Outside of her professional life, Regina found joy in simple, meaningful pleasures — tending to the roses in her garden, baking sweet treats for her loved ones, and spending quiet moments with her cherished feline companions. Her warmth and hospitality were felt by all who knew her.

Regina is now reunited in eternal rest with those who went before her: her husband, Alexander Danch, Jr.; her son, Alexander Danch III; and her grandson, Stephen Gervase.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lorraine Gervase (Richard Hoffer); her grandson, Michael Gervase (Stefania); her great-grandchildren, Francesca and Stephen Gervase; and her granddaughter-in-law, Nina Gervase. Regina also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will carry forward her memory and the lessons she imparted through her remarkable life.
