Not all of us met Mirella, but we know she was a wonderful woman because we love you and your family, Lydia, the woman she raised. We are thankful to her for the love she gave you and Talia and Angelo.

You would think the memories I would share of my Aunt Mirella would be of the countless Thanksgivings where I helped myself to double (triple) portions of stuffed clams and the onion soup she would make and whose recipe I want to steal….but
In my senior year of HS in 1988, I invited Aunt Mirella to International Dinner Night. I introduced her to my ITALIAN TEACHER and they hit it off… but what I didn’t realize was that my professor immediately figured out who helped me edit my homework for the past 3 years!! I miss that smile, that accent, the cigar-smoked-filled back room; your endlessly cooking on that massive 75 yr old cast iron stove. May you be at peace with Uncle Vito with an endless supply of Vito’s Vintage Vino!
With Love - Henri Zevin

Out friendship began early in 1962 when our husbands met at St Clare’s Hospital and began their medical careers. Our families enjoyed being together going on vacations celebrating milestones in our and their lives As our family grew so did our friendship. It was now
aunt Mirella and uncle Vito and we were aunt Janet and uncle Perry .We enjoyed swimming in our backyard pool amd barbecues, served on my best disposable china and dinnerware. Something I was Never able to convince Mirella to use. When they moved to a house with a pool
.Mirella continued to entertain using her china and beautiful elegant table settings. Her elegance and gracious entertaining were always welcoming , warm and hospitable, as well as enjoyable presentation of delicious meals.

Dear Daniel, Maurice and Lydia—
So sorry to hear of the passing of Wonderful Mirella. A gem and a jewel in the eyes of my Mom, Rena Cobrinik and in my eyes too.
I treasure all of the conversations I had with Mirella when I would drop in. Our lunches that celebrated my Birthday, your August Birthday and my Mom’s birthday at the Jefferson House Restaurant on the banks of Lake Hopatcong. I will always treasure you and all the talks we had. Thank you so much in helping me with my Spanish reviews which resulted in an A+. You were one of my Mom’s best friends.
We will miss you and your wonderful family whom we’ve known for about 50+ years.
Much love to Daniel, Mairice and Lydia.

I cherish the 37 years we gathered for Thanksgiving. I remember our vacation to FL where we got bumped from the hotel and searched for another place to stay. I enjoyed the sleepovers at your house and your mom reminding me not to be scared as the radiators would bang at night. Both of your folks were so kind and welcome.

To Mrs. Ferrante, thank you so much for all the love and time you gave us friends of Lydia growing up in mountain Lakes. Whenever I went to see Lydia. you were there talking with us and really listening to us. You were a great mom and it was obvious that you cared not just for your own children, but for your children’s friends.
You were always so hospitable and accommodating.I remember spending hours in the room off of your living room, listening to records and having sleepovers.
You were a great mom and you raised three exceptional people. It’s. tragic that you were inflicted by Alzheimer’s. But we are all grateful that your life was filled with love and compassion. Glad that your soul is at peace now.
