Elaine was my mom's (Vita) best friend for their entire lives until my mom died in late 2009. Donna and I met when we were newborn babies and we both just turned seventy! The Xenitelis' and my family lived in Bloomfield for three years at which time they moved to Boonton and we moved to White Meadow Lake, still close enough to see each other frequently. Elaine and my mom loved to laugh together and shared many wonderful memories made over a lifetime.
Elaine was one of the most wonderful persons I've ever known. Warm, caring, so authentic and honest and with the best sense of humor, hands down. Right up until the very end of her life she made us laugh- often with jokes about herself that were so lighhearted. Elaine was open and willing to talk about anything- I don't think I can ever recall her being reticent or embarrassed by anything we were discussing. Her heart was wide open and her mind was like a steel trap- so interested in the people around her and curious about life in general. Her vitality and passion for life was endless. It is no wonder all her five children were more than happy to be with her to help make her final years as joyful and loving as they were. Dear Elaine, you are sorely missed by all who knew you but we are all better people for having had you in our lives. We love you and I hope you and my mom are having the best time sharing stories and laughter again! Love, Linda
