Obituary of Paul J. O'Hara
It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of Paul Joseph O’Hara, who passed away on June 11, 2025. Paul was born to Peter and Anita O’Hara on August 19, 1970, in Summit, NJ, and was raised alongside his 4 siblings. After graduating high school, he pursued further education in something that fascinated him; the great outdoors. He studied ecology and environmental science, which gave him a vast knowledge of plants and animals. He often would take ventures into the woods to forage for different types of mushrooms and see if he could spot the flora and fauna of the area.
Paul was also skilled with his hands and had a talent for woodworking and carpentry. This led him to various jobs in construction. He had a keen eye for measurements and a sense of creativity that helped him create numerous projects. The talent he had with his hands also translated into music. During his time living in Oregon Paul played guitar in a band that often covered one of his favorite bands; The Grateful Dead.
And though Paul has left us, we take comfort in knowing that he is reunited once more with his parents, Peter and Anita O’Hara. He is survived by his siblings, Peter O’Hara, Mark O’Hara, Tracey O’Hara (Stuart Landow), Jennifer Imbornone, his nieces and nephews, Sean, Nadia, Anita, Salvatore, as well as many friends who will remember him fondly.
If you would like to continue Paul’s memory in your own way, please consider making a donation to plant a tree in his name. Donations can be made via OneTreePlanted.org.
