Obituary of Barbara Ann Hoskins
Barbara Ann Hoskins, age 63, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, in Randolph Township, New Jersey.
Barbara was a beloved daughter, sister, fiancée, aunt, fur mom, and friend to many. She will be remembered for her warm heart, sharp wit, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty to those she loved. Barbara had an incredible ability to make people feel welcomed, supported, and understood — her presence brought comfort and strength to countless lives.
She was a proud and hardworking professional who dedicated over 38 years as a legal assistant to Remo A. Caputo, Attorney at Law. Barbara was the backbone of the office, known for her meticulous attention to detail, her fierce work ethic, and her commitment to excellence. Her dedication earned her not only the trust of her employer and clients but also lifelong friendships.
Outside of work, Barbara lived with passion and purpose. She loved to travel, with Las Vegas and Puerto Rico among her favorite destinations. She had a special place in her heart for the excitement of the casino floor and could often be found at a blackjack table, confidently holding her own and generously offering to teach anyone eager to learn. She had a knack for reading the room — and the dealer — and always did it with a smile and a sparkle in her eye.
A true fan at heart, Barbara followed Rod Stewart's career with devotion, attending many of his concerts and dancing to his music with uncontainable joy. Whether she was belting out lyrics on a road trip or planning the next show, his music was a soundtrack to her happiest moments.
Barbara was known for her strength and independence. She was a tough cookie — never one to back down from a challenge — but beneath that toughness was a heart full of compassion. She gave the best advice, the warmest hugs, and never missed an opportunity to celebrate the people she cared about. Whether it was a thoughtful gift, a home-cooked meal, or just being there when someone needed her most, Barbara showed up with love.
She adored her family and treasured her role as an aunt, always present for birthdays, milestones, and everyday laughs. Her pets were like children to her — she was a devoted fur mom who gave them nothing but love, care, and cozy cuddles.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving mother Geraldine Hoskins. Her brother Rich Hoskins and his wife Cathy. Her Fiancé Rob Brainard and nieces and nephews Richie, Madison, and Rylee. Dear friends, colleagues, and her cherished cat Michael, all of whom will carry forward the lessons she taught simply by the way she lived.
