Theresa Daly posted a condolence
Monday, December 1, 2025
Hello,
My name is Theresa Daly. Bernie & Kitty Daly were my parents. They were great friends of Jackie & Shelia back in the day. My dad loved sharing war stories with Jackie while the moms traded old world Irish recipes. A few times Mom & myself had the pleasure of enjoying a meal in their home after a Morristown St Patrick's Day parade. My dad passed 30 years ago and my mom on August 2nd 2025. Hope they have met up by now having a cup of tea.

So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Truly a matriarch.
We first met Jack and Sheila through the Irish American Club.
As the obituary states, they were meant for each other.
She always had a calm and kind demeanor about her, no matter the circumstances around her.
We had the pleasure of meeting her family over the years. Clearly she raised them well.
We regret missing her funeral Mass as we were traveling.
Sheila, you have earned a place in Heaven alongside Jack. Rest in eternal peace.
With sincere condolences from Frank, Debbie, Patrick and Kieran Kelly.

Thank you for the kid words, memories, and also being some of my favorite adults in the club. Which is hard because so many great people there helped me become who I am. You were always interested in me, and as a kid it had a huge impact. Mom loved you both so much, and was always happy to hear any news I might have for her of you. Again, thank you so much for everything,
James

Our deepest condolences to the Gribbon family on the passing of your Mom. We were fortunate to know both Sheila and Jack when we taught Irish Dance at the Irish American Club of Northwest NJ. They were so proud of their son, James (Jamie) who was a great solo & team dancer and kept the tradition alive. May the beautiful memories you shared bring you comfort during this difficult time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and may Sheila Rest in Peace as she joins her husband, Jack.

You had to throw the Jamie in there didn’t you, I miss you guys, and appreciate all the memories. I sill tell stories of you as a teacher Jimmy. Don’t worry, the stories are all good. The IAANJ and dancing were such a formative part of my life, and you all were a huge part of my life. Thank you for the kind words and memories.

I have known Sheila & Jack since we were young as they were friends with my parents - John & Nuala Murphy. We became friends through the Irish American Association of Northwest Jersey. A quiet yet strong of character fine lady. RIP Sheila.
