Obituary of Frank A. DeVita
Frank Anthony DeVita, 68, born in Newark, NJ to the late Susan (Benson) and Frank F. DeVita, was raised in West Orange, NJ. At the age of 12, Frank lost his father, and as an only child, he began working early to help support his mother and himself.
Frank found a long-term career in construction, specifically roofing and siding, eventually starting his own home remodeling business. He operated the business until his retirement in 2024.
Frank had a passion for animals, particularly his two cats, Snickers and Jake. He also enjoyed following politics and was a patriotic individual who supported first responders.
He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Munoz and her husband Zeke Munoz, and Monica DeVita and her fiancé Ricky Rodriguez; his grandchildren Matteo and Alessa; and his former spouse, MaryAnne DeVita.
Services will be held privately for immediate family only. If you would like to honor Frank in your own way, donations can be made to The New Jersey Humane Society, 6412 Dewey Ave., West New York, NJ 07093, or online at https://www.newjerseyhumanesociety.org/donate.
