Obituary of Betty Rosko
It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Velma “Betty” Rosko, who peacefully passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 100, in Randolph, NJ. Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her love for her family, her joy in simple pleasures, and her kind, nurturing spirit made the world a better place.
Betty’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family. After raising her children, she poured that same deep devotion into caring for her grandchildren. She was the cornerstone of her family, always ready to offer her time and selfless love to those she held dear.
Betty also had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. She enjoyed sitting at her piano playing her favorite songs “by ear.” Betty loved to get in her car and just drive, embracing the freedom of the open road. She found joy in piecing together puzzles, indulging in her favorite magazines, surrounded by her doll collection, while sipping on a cold Miller Lite and savoring a sweet treat—whether it was a piece of chocolate or her beloved saltwater taffy. A true fan of QVC, she could often be found shopping for little treasures that brought her joy.
Betty leaves behind her daughters, Linda List and Robin (Scott) Lukac, beloved grandchildren Nicole (Kevin) Shears, Ashley (John) Fitzgerald, Deanna (Billy) Kostecki, and Kelly Lukac. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Brooke, Kevin, Riley, and Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents Marvin and Lucille Harris, her siblings Charlene Reed, Marvin and Carl Harris, her son in law Ed List, and her sweet pup, Pepi.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the care, tenderness, and support from the dedicated staff at Brightview in Randolph.
All services for Betty will be held privately.
