Just spent 90 minutes putting together a tribute to Dave--and i pressed a wrong button and the greeting is gone...so I will just say that you were a great neighbor and friend, always willing to be the doer in situations...good-natured, kind, a team guy who always pulled his weight and more. I will always miss Dave...he attended so many of the college courses on tape that i showed here as well as many of my field trips--and when he was with us, he shared his joyous spirit with us. We miss you you, Dave. and always will. Thank you for all you did for us.

Dear Carol and Family,
So sorry to learn of Dave's passing ... he was a remarkable man in so many ways and the community here in Fox Hills were so blessed to have had him in their lives. I personally will always remember and cherish our times together. Our sincerest sympathies to you and your family and may God bless you always.

One of the things I keep thinking about was David's generosity. Many of my friend's parents were nice enough, some were welcoming, David was truly generous. Generous with his friendship, generous with his time, and generous with his knowledge. Some would use that term as a euphemism for liking to tell people what to do. That's not what your Dvid did from where I was standing. He was more concerned with helping others with what THEY wanted.
An example I'll always remember was his music. He took delight in describing his McIntosh amp, features of his set-up, and even some of the CDs. He helped turn my budding curiosity in Harry Connick Jr into a full appreciation for his back catalog. Every time I hear "If I Only Had a Brain," I'm transported to his old den with David smiling and saying, "Just wait until he gets into some of the better piano solos. That's where he really shines." He was taking enjoyment from my enjoyment. The true fruit of generosity. Godspeed David.
