Please share a memory of Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Richard Ralph Seaman, of Denville, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at Fallsview Rehab in Boonton, NJ. He had shared 83 years of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories with family and friends.

Born in Trenton, NJ, and raised in Montclair, NJ, to the late Agnes and Frank Seaman, Richard was one of two children to bless their household. He was a proud graduate of Montclair High School, class of 1959. A hardworking and dedicated man, Richard owned and operated R Seaman & Sons, a successful landscaping business in Denville for 50 years. He was a proud father to three sons from his first marriage to Regina Stricker. He later met Theresa Goldstein, and they married on March 11, 1995. Together, they shared 30 years of life and love in Denville.

Richard had a passion that defined much of his life: cars. He was the head of the Goodfellas Car Club, where he enjoyed participating in weekly car shows, and was a proud member of The Packard Club for over 20 years. Being a member of these organizations allowed him to do many charitable things which warmed his soul.

He was also a loyal volunteer at the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, where he dedicated his time to animals in need. He was a lover of animals, particularly his dogs and his cherished koi ponds at home. In his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his beloved dogs once more.

Richard’s life was rich in love, hard work, and devotion to his family, faith, and community. He will be missed by his wife, Theresa; his sons, Peter Seaman (Susan McGuire), Michael Seaman (Gretchen Robbins), and William Seaman (Peggy Knoebel) and their mother, Regina Stricker; his grandchildren, Claire McGuire, Amelia McGuire, and Bronwin Seaman; his sister, Virginia Walsh (John); his nieces Kathryn, Barbara, and Elizabeth, and their families; along with many dear friends and neighbors.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to an organization dear to Richard’s heart, the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter via www.inmemof.org.
