Edward Arthur Ogborne passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Preakness Healthcare Center in Wayne. He was 89 years young.
Born and raised in Carbondale, PA to the late Edward and Henrietta Ogborne, he was one of four children. After graduating High School, he married his soulmate, Muriel in 1950. Once married, they started their family in Kearny before finding their forever home in Florham Park. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War Era. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge # 72 in Secaucus and an avid fisherman. The most important thing in his life, was his treasured family. He loved spending quality time with his wife, children, and especially grandchildren. Edward was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he will be sorely missed.
He leaves only joyful memories to his beloved wife of 69 years, Muriel; his loving daughters, Linda Bubenik and her husband Bob and Donna Thomas and her husband Dave; his cherished grandchildren, Krista Bubenik, Bill Twomey, and Ed Twomey; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his adored granddaughter, Nicole. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Charles and his wife Chic, Grace and her husband John, and Fred and his wife Gladys. Fred, John, and Charles proudly served on the U.S.S. Enterprise during World War II.
Public Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 11th from 10 – 12 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 12 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Burial will be private.
