David Steven Johnson passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Lafayette, NJ on November 12, 2017, at the young age of 60.
Born in East Orange, he had lived in Denville for many years before moving to Andover and then to Lafayette, NJ 22 years ago.
David worked as the supervisor of the road department in Denville Township for 34 years before retiring in 2012.
He loved classic rock music, the Los Angeles Rams, and was an avid Mopar lover; at one time he owned a 1969 Charger and a 1970 Challenger. He also loved fighter jets, such as Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Judith M. (Schwester) Johnson of Lafayette, NJ. His loving children Danielle Johnson of Lake Hopatcong and Evan and his wife Jamie Johnson of Lafayette, NJ and his siblings Marilyn Kuntz-Spencer of Denville, and William Johnson of Randolph, NJ also survive him.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday November 15, 2017, from 2:00PM to 6:30PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834.
