Gene was my father's closest friend and, perhaps, the best friend he had in his life. Gene was an uncle to me and dear to my heart. He was instrumental in making me the man I have become. No man other than my father had a greater influence on my life. I am heartbroken to hear he has left us. Ann, Annie, you are in my heart and in my thoughts always. All our love, Mark and Judy Selz.

Dear Eugene, May God keep your spirit and soul 'til the day of his second coming and may you rest in peace 'til that day when for the hope we have through Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we will meet again in Heaven where we begin our journey to eternal life with Him. Our family will never forget how sweet and thoughtful Gene was. He was always thinking of others, like the time he had remembered that my daughter, Rose, forgot to take her wedding cake topper home after her wedding celebration, and to Rose's surprise when our family was invited to his house shortly after that, he had a replica of her wedding cake topper on the dessert table. He always made our family smile. Thank you to Gene and his family for their love and kindness, always. Cousins Linda and Bob Paolucci and family

He always encouraged me to be fearless, take risks, and believe in my ability to achieve my career goals, even when I struggled to do so. I finally listened to him, moved to a new state, and three promotions later, I realized he was right. His strong work ethic and family-centered approach to life will always stay with me.
