Please share a memory of Arthur to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Arthur J. Carson, of Succasunna, passed away peacefully at age 91 surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville.

Born in Lyndhurst to the late John and Theodora Carson, he was one of three children. Arthur proudly served our country during the Korean War in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering with a Bachelors Degree. He was appointed Livingston Township Engineer and planning board member in 1972. He retired in 1987 after 39 years of municipal service. He was a member and usher at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Denville. Arthur had many hobbies including gardening, camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. Above all else, his family was his first priority. Spending time with his children and grandchildren made his world complete. We will forever treasure his legacy of love, hard work, and laughter.

Arthur was predeceased by his beloved wife Jane M. Carson in 2008. He leaves only loving memories to his adored children, James A. Carson and his wife Lynn of Wantage, Peter D. Carson and his wife Susan of Caldwell, and Nancy A. Arentowicz and her husband Scott of Succasunna; his cherished grandchildren, Adam, Anna, and Taylor Carson, Emily Wagner and her husband Tyler, Keith and Holly Arentowicz; his caring siblings, sister, Edna May (the late Henry) Nycz and brother, Kenneth Carson and his wife Janet; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
