Edward Loosemore, Jr. of Denville, NJ passed away peacefully Friday morning, December 29, 2017, in his home. He was 92.

Mr. Loosemore was born August 21, 1925, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Edward Loosemore, Sr. and Sophia (Mezzera) Loosemore. He was a graduate of West Middlesex High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University, Hamilton, NY.

Ed retired in 1989 as a director from National Water Lift, an aerospace manufacturer, and was previously employed as an airship pilot for Goodyear. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus. His wife, the former Florence Dyll, passed away on June 14, 1993.

Surviving is a daughter, Lisa Loosemore, New York, NY; a son, Edward Loosemore; three grandchildren, Edward, Owen and Sophia Loosemore, all of Denville, NJ; and a brother, Allen Loosemore, Hendersonville, NC.
 

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Stockings With Care program.

Calling hour will be 10 a.m. until time of service. 

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon, with Rev. Glenn R. Whitman, pastor of Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Hermitage.
