Obituary of Stefan Bohoslawec

Stefan Bohoslawec passed away on Saturday, Decemeber 2, 2017.  He shared 77 years of love and kindness with all who knew him.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville.  Interment to follow at St. Andrews Ukranian Cemetery, Boundbrook.  Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 5th from 3-7 pm.  Donations in his name may be made to the good work of the Autism Society of America by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.   Please share your memories here.  Steve’s family will cherish them forever. 

Born in Ukraine to the late George and Stefania; The family escaped the Ukraine during the end of WWII and settled in Spital am Pyhrn, Austria. Stefan immigrated to the United States when he was 10 years old where his family built a home in Morristown, NJ. After graduating from Morristown High School he voluntered for the US Army.  Upon his return from the Army he married his beloved Christina Nychka in February of 1966.  They lived in Pine Brook briefly and then settled in Denville where they raised a family of their own.  Stefan earned a Masters in Education from Seton Hall University. He had a 35 year career at Morristown High School teaching Special Education and Study Skills. Steve enjoyed his job and cared deeply for his students. When he wasn’t at work, he enjoyed fishing, antiqueing, vacationing in Long Beach Island and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a devoted husband, a loving Dad and a great friend to many. 

Predeeceased by his wife Christina; he leaves beautiful memories to his daughter Marta Bohoslawec and his son and daughter in law Roman and Christine; his adored grandsons Ryan and Isaac; brother and sister in law Bohdan and Oksana and many more dear relatives and friends
