Obituary of Marlene Dodd

Marlene L. Dodd passed away in Denville, NJ on August 12, 2017, at the age of 72.

 

Born and raised in Newton, she had lived in Rockaway, NJ for the last 20 years.

 

Marlene worked as an associate scientist at Warner Lambert and Pfizer in Morris Plains, NJ for 33 years. She was the first woman to be inducted into the Army National Guard in New Jersey.

She served for 3 years and was in the 3rd Battalion, 112th Field Artillery. She was also a volunteer for 11th Hour Rescue in Rockaway, NJ for 11+ years.

 

Marlene was predeceased by her partner Debbie Stinson in 2003.

 

She is survived by her brother Edward and his wife Donna Dodd of East Stroudsburg, PA. Her nephew Michael Dodd and her great niece Ella Dodd of East Stroudsburg also survives her.

 

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday August 27, 2017 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834.
