Obituary of Craig Hill, Sr.
"The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again."
Craig B. Hill Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12th, one year after his beloved wife Jacqueline. He was 84 years old.
Memorial Visitation will be held on September 9th, from 2-4 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. A Funeral Service will begin at 4 pm. Donations in his name are appreciated to the good work of the Joey Bella Memorial Fund by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
Craig was born in Brooklyn to the late Jesse and Helen Hill. As a young adult he traveled to Budd Lake, NJ where he met Jackie Klein. After a whirlwind romance, the couple married and settled down. They lived in Tacoma, WA for a short time and then made their home in the Indian Lake section of Denville. Soon they started their own family. Craig was a master mechanic and seemed to be able to fix anything. He enjoyed working on cars especially and shared his talents with friends and neighbors often. Later in life he took a job as a bartender at Peace Pipe Golf Club. He enjoyed going to work every day. He formed new friendships and enjoyed his time there. Craig and Jackie were involved in all things lake related. They were very active in the Community Club, and won the title of Mr. & Mrs. Indian Lake in 1982. Above all, Craig loved being with his family and spending time with his dear Jackie. He was proud of his family; especially his two beautiful granddaughters.
He leaves wonderful memories to his son Craig Jr and his wife Marilyn; daughter Liz Donnelly and her husband Mike; dear granddaughters Anna Hill and Meg Donnelly; and many more loving relatives, dear friends and acquaintances.
