Obituary of Anthony R. D'Orazio

Anthony R. D’Orazio, of Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was 69 years young. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he has been a lifelong New York resident. He graduated from City College of New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology of Science. He made a very successful 25 year career in Medical Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine & the NYC Health Department. Anthony loved to discover new Wineries & Vineyards and was accomplished in the Martial Arts; Jiu Jitsu and TaiChi. He was truly an outdoors man that appreciated the beautiful scenery this world has to offer; he was especially fond of the Riverwalk & the Hudson Valley. He was also an aficionado of movies and attended movies weekly with a group of fellow movie lovers. Anthony was an amazing man, son, brother, and friend with a zest for life that we will never forget. Son of the late Alessandro and Esterina D’Orazio, he is survived by his loving brother Richard D’Orazio and his wife Karen of Denville, NJ. He was also the beloved Uncle of Giancarlo and Michael D’Orazio. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 23rd at 9:00 am at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Burial will follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Public Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services.
