Obituary of Michael A. Ferraiuolo

Michael A. Ferraiuolo passed away on Monday February 20, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ. He was 89 years young. Mike was born in Rockaway to the late John and Rose Ferraiuolo. As a child, Michael and his family relocated to Mt. Lakes, NJ, staying there until he graduated from High School. He started to attend college, but his education had to be postponed because of his desire to serve his country in WWII. He proudly served in the US Navy as a Yeoman. After the war, he married the love of his life Winnie Hession and they moved to Denville where they started their family. Mike continued his education and graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Accounting. He later started a business with his brother Gaeton called Ferraiuolo and Ferraiuolo Public Accounting in Denville. He also involved himself in the community by joining and participating in the Denville Rotary Club where he received a Paul Harris Fellowship. He was honored by the Denville Police Department as a Life Member of the P.B.A. Local 142, and received his Silver Card. He had chaired the Denville Sewer Commission and had been a past President of the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles Football Club. He loved playing golf and had been a member of Spring Brook Country Club since 1981. His wife Winnie died in 2006 and he was also predeceased by his parents and his brother Gaeton in 2012. He is survived by his children John (Valda Terauds), Michael (Erin), Bill ( Laura Benedict) and Cathy Hamlin, his 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The second love of his life Jane Brenner Rosen and her daughter’s Jane Ginder, Joann (the late Gary) Whipple and Jan Ginder and Jane’s 3 grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Martha (Ken) Jones and his sister in-law Joan Ferraiuolo. His family shared private services as Michael was buried alongside his wife Winifred.
