Dorothy R. McLean, Don’t Say Good Bye, Say So Long.. Dorothy R. McLean, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4th. She shared 92 years of love and laughter with her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 9th from 3-7 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Donations in her memory may be made to the good work of the Denville Food Pantry by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org Dorothy was born in Manville to the late Thomas and Marie Kelly. After her schooling she married James McLean and the couple settled in Denville. They raised their family here and Dot loved being a part of this close community. She worked for Warner Lambert for many years, retiring from Pfizer in 1987. Following this she became a member of the “Warner Lambert- Pfizer retirement group”. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, and a loyal participant at the YMCA cardiac rehab therapy. She stayed active with the Denville Seniors and enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City and a great game of BINGO. Above all, she loved being with her family. She was the proud Grandma to thirteen and Great Grandma of two. Predeceased by her husband James, her beloved daughter Dorothy Godfrey and her sister Elizabeth Jensen; she leaves happy memories to her daughters Marie Ewert and Patty Deemer (Chad); sons Michael (Colleen) and Mark (Mary Ann); 13 grandchildren, 2 great grands; and many more dear friends and neighbors.
