Obituary of Joan M. Massa

Joan M. Massa passed away on January 6, 2017, at the age of 82. She was born in Newark and had lived in Hillside before moving to the Marcella section of Rockaway Twp., NJ, 45 years ago. Joan worked as a registered nurse at St. Barnabas Hospital for many years; she then worked as a computer programmer for ADP before retiring. She loved to spend her time skiing and grooming dogs, especially Scottish Terriers, which she not only owned, but would show them. She was predeceased by domestic partner Patricia A. DeSciscio in 2006. Joan is survived by her siblings James & Laurie Massa of Rockaway Twp., and William & Diane Bobo of Dover, NJ. She is also survived by her nieces Eileen Bobo, Loraine Rachmiel and Lynn Eckhart. Funeral services will take place on Thursday January 12, 2017, at 10AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834.
