Obituary of Kathleen McCall

Please share a memory of Kathleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathleen (Kate) McCall of Parsippany died on Christmas Eve. Born and raised in Denville, Kate attended St. Mary's School and Morris Knolls High School and had many friends in both Denville and Rockaway Township, with whom she shared treasured memories and good times. Kate most recently was employed by a day care center and by Stop n Shop, both in Parsippany. These occupational endeavors provided a wonderful outlet for her lifelong love of children and her easy way with people in all social situations. A true animal lover, thanks in large part to her mother's influence, Kate never said no to an animal in need and is survived by her two treasured cats. True to her nature, she never said no to a human in need, either, and is remembered by friends and family for her generous nature and willingness to help. Most of all, Kate will be remembered for her love of a good time, whether it was with her childhood best friend, Karen Quinn Wheble; her cherished fellow hooligans from Lake Telemark; friends with whom she worked and played throughout the years, including Vicki Goer, Ellie Scalley, and Lisa Gallo; and her family. She is predeceased by parents Bill and June McCall and grandparents Robert and Alice Friery and Bill and Natalie McCall. Kate is survived by her cherished Uncle John and Aunt Flora of Toms River; sister, Kevin McCall Guyette, of Mt. Arlington; brother, Will McCall, of Bethlehem, PA; and sister, Eileen McCall Mitchell, of Wharton. In her memory, please do something to help an animal or person in need. The Parsippany Animal Shelter , 1069 Parsippany Blvd., Parsippany, NJ 07054 is suggested for the care given her two cats following her unexpected passing. Arrangements were private and handled by Norman Dean Home for Services, Denville. Please light a candle and share a memory of Kate on their website : normandean.com
