Obituary of Kathryn Stewart

Kathryn Stewart passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016. She was 92 years young.

Kathryn was born in the grape country of Brocton, NY. She grew up on Long Island and attended Columbia University. She worked for the War Department during WWII, and then she was a personal assistant to Nelson Rockefeller. After being married she raised her family in New Paltz, NY and Mountain Lakes, NJ. Later in life she lived in Manhattan and worked at and retired from Holding Capital. The final years of her life she lived in Indian Lake, NJ. Her most proud job was being a Mom to her three children. Kathryn had a creative spirit and an artistic hand; her favorite was painting. Music was one of her passions and she loved to travel and follow the Opera. Above everything, family was number one in her life.

She leaves beautiful memories to her loving children Gail Rumsey (Robert), Jack Stewart and Jon Stewart; adoring grandchildren Tom, Krystle, Gina, Mindy, Kyle and Jaron; cherished great grandchildren Kaitlin, Lucas and Willow; many other dear relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Musicians On Call, an organization that brings live and recorded music to patients in healthcare facilities, at musiciansoncall.org. Please leave a memory or condolence for the family.
