Obituary of Audrey L. Phillips

Audrey Phillips passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28th. She shared 89 years of love with her family and friends. Born in Blakeslee, Pa., to the late Fred and Thelma Cox, Audrey was one of three girls. She met Harold Phillips in West Caldwell NJ where they were later married. Soon after they purchased a farm in Lennoxville, PA and started their family. They returned to NJ and Audrey started a career in real estate. She later went on to work for Crum & Foster Insurance in Morristown, NJ She and Harold were snowbirds who loved spending many years in Ft. Myers. Fla. They enjoyed their time with Primetime Seniors and with the Walking Club at Sussex County Community College. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Above all, Audrey loved being with her family. She had a 70 year marriage to her dear Harold. She was the proud Noni to eight grandchildren and blessed to be a Great Noni to five little ones. Predeceased by her husband Harold (2014) and her sisters June Allert and Ellen Shaffer; she leaves happy memories to her children Lynn Boettger (James), Marlene Phillips and H. James Phillips (Susan Doyle); her grandchildren Donian Chaudruc (Debra Batte), Keith Chaudruc (Miulina), Heather D’Auria (Neal), Jeremy Chaudruc (Erin Evertsen), John Phillips (Elizabeth), Alyssa, Kristin and Connor Phillips; her great grandchildren Matthew, Sophia, Sadie, Madison and Jocelyn, and many more loving relatives and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 3rd from 2-5 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ. A Funeral Service will begin at 4:30 that afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the The Yellow Frame Church, Newton or the UMC Mt. Tabor.
