Obituary of Jacqueline A. Tighe

Jacqueline A. Tighe passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Morris View Healthcare Center. She was 75 years young. Born in Morristown, she was raised in Newark, NJ. Jacqueline has been a Denville resident since 1957. She made a very successful 34 year career working for Picatinny Arsenal retiring in 1998 as the Procurement Analyst. She loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time in her garden. When she wasn't outside, she adored spending time with her Dalmatian, Patches. The Matriarch and Historian of the family, she was an amazing mother and woman that will continue to live on in the hearts and souls of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Jackie was predeceased by her brother Russell Allaman. Left to keep her legacy alive are her beloved son, Robert Tighe of Denville; her loving siblings, George (Linda) Allaman of Rockaway, Barbara (Gerald) Smith of Sparta, and Russ's wife Cheryl Allaman of Denville; numerous caring nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 17th at 10:00 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, East Hanover. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. In lieu of flowers, Jacqueline asks that you go out of your way to make someone's day better. One seemingly small act can make a world of difference to someone's life. Please leave a condolence for her family.
