Barbara Grimes, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 89 on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late James and Lucille Fegan. Barbara’s life was centered on her family and her faith. While raising her (4) children, she worked fulltime as an educator and completed her master’s degree. She received many accolades during her life. Teaching and family were her passion. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s and resident of Denville. Predeceased by her loving husband Richard; she leaves happy memories to her children Richard Jr (Sharon); Barbara Glennon (James); James (Donna) and Elizabeth Crothers (Robert); her grandchildren Melissa, Jimmy, Beth, Ricky, Cathy, Bobby, Patti, Mandi, Michael, Ashley and Victoria; 10 great grandchildren; her sister Joan Lavery and many more loving relatives and friends. Friends and relatives may visit on Monday, February 15th from 4-7 pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 16th at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church, Denville. Barbara will be laid to rest with her loving husband at Denville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Frances Chapel, 122 Diamond Spring Road, Denville, NJ.
