Obituary of Darma Krista Alverson

Please share a memory of Darma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Darma Alverson, passed away on December 5, 2015. She was 11 years old, and has left us broken hearted, but grateful for having had her bless our lives. She was the light of our lives and in eleven short years showed all who knew her what true beauty and strength is. She was our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, sunshine and friend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 15 Myers Ave, Denville. Friends, fans and relatives may visit on Wednesday, December 9th from 4-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. We kindly ask that you come in color. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to the Epilepsy Foundation, http://www.efnj.com/ or the NJ Sharing Network 691 Central Avenue, New Providence, NJ 07974. Born and raised in Denville, Darma was the little sister in her house. She attended Children's Therapy Center in Midland Park. Darma enjoyed swimming, horseback riding, dancing, bowling and karate. She was a champion of the Dream Team Baseball League in Franklin Lakes and was a featured model at the annual Access Fashion Show in Ridgewood. Her smile was enormous and contagious. She lit up every room she entered. She was enthusiastic about her toys, her music, her awesome shoe collection, her school, her teachers, her therapists, her aides and being with her family. She was kind, beautiful on the inside and out, and possessed an amazing spirit which will never leave us. Her goodness to others will live on through her gift of life. Darma was a donor and changed the lives of three children and their families this week. She will be missed immeasurably, but never forgotten. She was over the moon for her sister Kira, her best friend in the world. Predeceased this Spring by her maternal Gram Mary David, who loved her with all of her heart; Darma leaves only happy and silly memories to her adoring sister Kira; loving Mom and Dad, Erin and Erik; maternal Pop Pop, Edward David; paternal Grammy and Grampy, Frederick and Dzintra Alverson; Uncle Joe, Uncle Lars and Aunt Krista, Uncle Karl and Aunt Ieva; her cousin Olaf; and many more loving relatives, therapists and friends.
