Obituary of Carol K Hardin

Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
“Someone light the candles and no one start until we are all seated.” Carol Jean(Kamp) Hardin, 78, of Denville, NJ passed away on October 22, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice, after a short battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Friends and relatives may visit with the family beginning at 12 noon that day. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in her memory to the good work of the Ayres/Knuth Farm Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 304, Denville, NJ 07834. Born in Morristown, Carol resided in Denville for over 51 years. Her full time job was the household engineer for her family, redefining the term and setting a new standard. Part time she worked for Union Hill Farms and volunteered for The Ayres/Knuth Foundation. She was an exceptional wife, Mom, Nana and friend. Her eye for design was apparent wherever she was. Her house, when entertaining or not, was like something out of a magazine. She had the ability to make everyone feel special. Whether it was her beautifully wrapped gifts at the holidays, an elaborate table setting, or the gorgeous flower arrangements, all you felt was love in her home. She was generous, kind and deliberate, and possessed a beautiful spirit which has not left us. Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert Downer Hardin; parents Charles Joseph Kamp II and Eleanor Elizabeth Ammerman; and brother Charles Joseph Kamp III; she leaves only happy memories to her sons Robert Charles Hardin(Sharon) and Jeffrey Wayne Hardin; grandchildren Heather Aurora Hardin, Jack Robert Hardin and Madeline Mae Hardin. Carol was the cherished aunt to three nieces and a forever friend to many. Her generosity poured, flowers bloomed…and the dog barked.
