Lee Lavora Clifford passed away on Sunday, August 16th, surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 20th at 10:30 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Deville. Interment to follow at the Rockaway Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit on Wednesday, August 19th from 4-7 pm. Born in Brooklyn, NY; Lee was one of five children. In 1948, she and her husband settled in the Indian Lake section of Denville to raise their family. She worked as an executive secretary with Warner Lambert. Then she began working as the Main St. School secretary for 19 years. She retired from Riverview in 1983 after 20 happy years of service to the Denville BOE. She was a longtime member of the Church of The Saviour; donated her time to the Cub Scouts, St. Clare’s Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post #390. Lee was active with the Denville Seniors and served as their President multiple times. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly by all who had the fortune of knowing her. Predeceased by her husband Terence (1979); longtime companion Leon Pras, and all of her siblings; she leaves only happy memories to her children Brian (Debora), Keith (Susan) and Diane Clifford (Jeff Howard); Grandchildren Anne and Bethany Clifford, Terry and Robyn Clifford-Howard and Ryan and Kaitlyn Tierney; and many more loving relatives, dear friends and caretakers.
