Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Judith Jean Savite, 77, of Denville passed away on July 2, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous 5 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Judith was born and raised in New London, CT. It was there that she met and married Charles while he was serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. Charles and Judith married in 1959 and recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. It was also in CT that Judith discovered her love of the beach, spending summer days at Ocean Beach and continuing on to the Jersey Shore. Judy also had great passion for working in her garden, and was an active member of Denville Beautification Committee. Other passions included the New York Yankees and attending her grandchildren's many sporting events. Judy was everyone's biggest fan and her fighting spirit will forever live on in her 4 amazing grandchildren. Judy was an incredibly selfless woman that was dedicated to bettering the lives of those around her with her wit, her tenacity, her love, and her generosity of spirit. Left to keep her memory alive is her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles K. Savite; her adored children, Charles R. Savite (Alda) of Long Valley, NJ and Janice Sann (Tom) of Middletown, NJ; her cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Charles, Gabriella, and Jack; her caring brother Richard Luzzi (Valerie) of East Lyme, CT; her loving sister-in-law Harriet McCue of San Francisco, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be forever missed by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 6th at 10:00 am at St Mary's R.C. Church, 15 Meyers Ave., Denville. Burial will follow at Denville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5th from 2-6 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in Judith's memory to the Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714.
