Marion (Paurowski) Romanick, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on June 24th, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5th from 3-6 pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, in Denville. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in her name to honor the work of her daughter Ann Marie Majestic and the nursing staff at the St. Barnabas Burn Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ, whose exceptional care she received throughout her long illness. To share memories with her family, please go to www.normandean.com Born in the Woodland section of the Bronx, New York, in 1935, Marion was a graduate of the Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers, NY. She obtained her RN in general and psychiatric care and began her nursing career in New Jersey working at the Veterans Hospital in East Orange, followed by Irvington General Hospital and continuing at the Greystone Psychiatric Hospital. There she served on the Nursing Problem Solving Panel which led to an investigation on patient care procedures and protocols at Greystone. She later received her Realtor's Broker License and became a Partner at Koster-Preiss Realtors then went on to form her own business, Select Properties and Relocation, one of the first corporate relocation programs in the state. Marion and her husband John settled in Denville nearly 50 years ago where they raised their two daughters and welcomed their four grandchildren and most recently one great grandchild. Marion's true love was her family followed by her friends all the local business owners who became so dear to her through their generosity and kindness. Marion is predeceased by her brother Henry "Hank" Paurowski Jr; she leaves only happy memories to her marriage of 58 years to John Romanick; daughters Ann Marie Majestic (Guy) and Donna Romanick (Robert Rebholz); grandchildren Jessica Vnuczenski (Paul), Gregory Majestic (Corrie), Ian and Chance Rebholz; great grandson Keegan Vnuczenski; and many more loving relatives and dear friends. She will be missed more than words can express.
