Obituary of Richard J. Krisinski

Please share a memory of Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Richard Krisinski passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Richard attended St. Peter's College and then proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and has remained a marine through and through. Upon his honorable discharge, he began his 25 year career as a probation officer for Hudson County. Following his retirement, he began his second career as a driver for several different companies over the past 25 years: a job which he truly enjoyed because of the wonderful people he met along the way. As an avid gardener, he proudly shared the fruits of his labor with so many. His five grandchildren were his pride and joy and kept him young at heart. He was always coming up with things to build for them like a cape sized tree house or a backyard zip line. Richard is predeceased by his parents, John and Alfrieda Krisinski, and a brother, Arthur Krisinski. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Joann and G. Andrew Pierson; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Wendy Krisinski; grandchildren Kevin and Natalie Pierson and Alyssa, Tyler and Grace Krisinski; and brother John Krisinski and partner Elizabeth Tanis. Friends and relatives may visit on Monday, June 29th from 6-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ. A prayer service followed by military honors will begin at 7 that evening. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the good work of St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave, Madison, NJ 07940 or the Heart Success Program c/o the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center 475 South Street, 1st Floor, Morristown, NJ 07960.
