Alma Poskitt, passed away at home on Saturday, June 20th. She was 81 years old. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services. Prayers will be offered at 7:30 that evening. Burial at the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in her memory to the good work of The Lustgarten Foundation 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714. Born in Newark, to the late Edward and Alma Reif, she was one of four children. After her schooling; she met and later married Charles Henry Poskitt Jr., and the couple settled in Rockaway where they started their family. Alma was an exceptional wife, mother to her four boys and homemaker. On top of all this, she had a 25 year career with Dunn & Bradstreet. Alma enjoyed shopping and traveling; but above all, she loved being with her family; especially her grandchildren. She leaves only happy memories to her husband Charles of 63 years; sons Edward (Mary Ann) and Gregg Poskitt; granddaughters Kristie, Carrie, Samantha; great grandchildren Dylan, Justin, Kevin and Shelby; and many more loving relatives and friends. Her dear sons Charles III and Glenn died previously.
