Wingfield, 78, passed away at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center on June 1, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Bronx, NY, he moved to Denville prior to residing in Hackettstown since 2006. He was his happiest when he owned and operated a sewing machine repair service which he retired from in 2014. Richard was an avid golfer and was very proud of his hole in one at the Knoll Country Club in 1991. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Louise (Giardina) Wingfield of Hackettstown; his loving children Lori Wingfield of Byram Twp. and Richard and Judy Wingfield of Washington; his cherished grandchildren Elizabeth, Alexander, Daniel, Ryan, and Annie; and caring sister Susan Wingfield of Melbourne, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Sat. June 6th at 1:30 PM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ.
