Obituary of Annabelle L. Becker

Annabelle Becker (nee Lynch), 99, passed away peacefully at her home, on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Annabelle was born on January 26, 1916 in Mt. Tabor to the late Frederick and Myrta (Woodhull) Lynch. She was one of seven children. Annabelle graduated from Morristown High School in 1935. She married the love of her life, Floyd A. Becker in 1941. She worked for NY Life Insurance, NYC and then later for Garden State Propane Gas in Parsippany. Annabelle has lived with her daughter in Haddonfield, NJ and most recently Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ. She enjoyed bird watching, playing cards, knitting, reading and being with her family. Annabelle was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mt. Tabor Fire Dept., longtime member of the UMC of Mt. Tabor, Barrington NJ Seniors and the Mt. Tabor Seniors; but above all; she was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She will be missed dearly by all whose lives she has touched. She is predeceased by her husband, Floyd A. Becker; her sister, Betty Zeh; her brother, Sidney Lynch; her brother, Frederick Lynch, and her stepson Floyd Becker Jr. She leaves happy memories to her children Bonnie Applegate (Thomas) and Barry Becker (Teresa); sisters, Reda Moore, Audrey Gilligan and Ruth Blazure; grandchildren, Dawn Wighton (Gary), Heather Wighton (Edgar), Justin Wighton (Kelly), Deseree Fillner (Matt), Craig Becker, Victoria Applegate, Jesse Applegate, Laurie VanderBogard, David, Dennis, Dawn and Jason Becker; and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 11:30 am at the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Mt. Tabor, NJ. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in her memory to the UMC of Mt. Tabor, PO Box 29, 9 Simpson Ave., Mt. Tabor, NJ 07878.
