Russell J. Flanagan

My favorite thing about Russ was how he found a way to include everybody in whatever he was talking about or doing. He also had this great cackling laugh he used to turn the screws whenever he decided to dish out some playful guff. I last heard it when he teased Eileen for wearing an Eagles sweatshirt the night before the Super Bowl. He had a nickname for nearly everyone. The first time he met me, my first week at the E-T, inclusive as he was, he tried to give me one: Dabrill. "It's like debris, only dabrill," he said then cackled. It didn't really stick but I was glad he brought me in the loop my first week on the job. Russ was the man.
