My heart goes out to Russ’ family – I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Russ was truly one of a kind. He had an infectious laugh and was so incredibly witty. All my memories of Russ are peppered with laughter. You knew you were going to have a good time when you were with him. He was so easy to be around, even if you hadn’t seen him in a while, you always picked up like no time had passed. He was so well read and had such a passion for life that conversations always flowed so effortlessly – you could discuss pretty much anything, usually laughing all the while. Russ was a wonderful wordsmith… the stuff that would come out of his mouth – so funny and so witty. The world is an emptier place without you here, Russ, but you left behind a lifetime of wonderful memories we’ll use to try to ease the pain and fill that void. I feel honored to have had a friend like you. God Bless you, Russ! May you rest in peace. You will forever be missed. You will never be forgotten.
